COSMIC CRUSADERS

Had this GREEN LANTERN sketch lying around for awhile and decided it was time to finish it up. Pretty straight foward approach in Adobe Illustrator. Then i got to thinking about Alex Toth's greatest contribution to Hanna-Barbera... no, not the SUPERFRIENDS... to me it's SPACE GHOST. In recent years, he has been retooled as a fictional talk show host on Cartoon Network but i prefer to think of him as he was in 1966-- a kick-ass superhero who, with his sidekicks Jan, Jace and Blip, fought villains in outer space. When it comes to heroes that protect the galaxy, it doesn't get much better.

Hey Charles, these look really awesome, colorful and fun! Great Space Ghost, btw, I've hated his transformation into Larry King-dom, but, you're right he used to cooler when he was a superhero.
