THE MOUSE OF STEEL IS BACK!!!

....yeah, i really am having TOO MUCH fun with this!!! Hey, he WAS the FIRST cartoon character EVER to appear on Saturday mornings!!! The character was originally called 'Super Mouse' (his costume was initially very similar to Superman's!) but rather than promote another company's character, creator Paul Terry decided to change the Terrytoon character's name to Mighty Mouse. Ralph Bakshi last worked with the character in 1987 and that show seemed aimed more at adults than at children.

Man, the stuff you can find out on the 'net!!!! Well, here's a finished piece:

Here's something in progress (everyone loves the screenshots!!):

Wow, did you redo that Terry Toons logo from scratch? Pretty neat. This is the real era of cartoons, man. Simple, cool, not too violent, always entertaining. Man, you've got him down pat. Love these color finishes...and the Illustrator doc.

what I always loved most about Mighty Mouse is that
in the early tunes, he would sing opera while kicking
bad guy ass....takes a real man to do that!
freaking awesome work Charles!
